Take Me Out To The Ball Game

This year, a select group of our students have been working with local advertising executives, learning about many of the careers offered in this field, as well as what goes into an major advertising campaign.  These advertising executives have been visiting Dobson School once a month for one 45 minute period discuss what they do everyday at their respective companies, from creating commercial scripts, advertisement layouts, slogans, timing and much more.  Students used this information and worked with the team from Philly Ad Group to design a potential poster and ticket for our production of High School Musical Jr..

Today, these students got to see how advertising works in the real world by visiting Citizen's Bank Park.  Students met with some of the Philllies Marketing Team, had a tour of the stadium, locker room and ate lunch in Ashburn Alley.  Students got to see the many places where a company could advertise, from the scoreboard to the rally towels, to even the schedule magnets.
