      • 8th graders will be selling Dobson Bracelets at Lunch to help raise funds for the 8th Grade Trip.  Bracelets are $2 each. 
      • Dobson's First Annual Poetry Contest has begun!! Look for the rules and guidelines posted around the school.  Ask your teachers for more information.
    • Wednesday, March 28th
      • Drop Everything And Read!
    • Friday, March 30th
      • PPAA Walk To Water Ice at 1:00pm (weather permitting)
      • Achieve3000 Contest Ends today!!! Read those articles! See the current standings below!!

    Reminders:
  •  The TeenBiz/KidBiz3000 contest is on!  For more info follow the link:  www.achieve3000.com/contest/spring Here are the current standings! Don't forget the winning class wins a party! The contest ends March 30th.
    • 5th Grade is currently in the lead with 35.9 points and 28 students who have completed at least 8 activities. (THAT'S A TEN POINT JUMP FROM LAST WEEK! WAY TO GO!)
    • 7th Grade is currently in second place with 24.8  points and 22 students who have completed at least 8 activities.
    • 6th Grade has jumped into currently in third place with 20.6 points and 19 students who have completed at least 8 activities.

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!!!

The Upper School MG class is excited to report that the second issue of the Umbria Street Journal (the February and March 2012 issue) is available to downloaded on the James Dobson School Home Page.  This issue features information from the PSSA's to the Grammy's, The Umbria Current Comic Strip and even rules and guidelines for Dobson's First Annual Poetry Contest.

We are excited to read many wonderful poems in celebration of National Poetry Month.  Coming in the next issue: a tribute to Whitney Houston's Legacy, Women's History Month, Dobson News, a new Five Star Student and much, Much more!
