This week, Dobson School has been very fortunate to have several projects fulfilled through www.donorschoose.org.
"DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests on our site, and you can give any amount to the project that most inspires you.
When a project reaches its funding goal, we ship the materials to the school. You'll get photos of the project taking place, a letter from the teacher, and insight into how every dollar was spent. Give over $50 and you'll also receive hand-written thank-yous from the students."
Several of our teachers have pages on this site. Please look through the links below to see if there is a project you would be interested in! You can also share any teacher's projects on Facebook, Twitter with your family and friends. These materials are shipped directly to your child's classroom when the projects are funded.
Now for the best part!! If you enter the code INSPIRE within the first week of the project being created, Donors Choose will match your donation! No Donation is too small!! $10 becomes $20, $15 becomes $30, when you enter INSPIRE.
Visit Ms. Tierney's and Ms. McConnell's Pages
for projects that are within their first week!!
With your help, we can get the word out to get these projects fulfilled. No donation is too small. Every penny counts!

Hi!The community you have built on your blog is so lovely. I wanted to reach out because I am the community manager for the USC Rossier School of Education. We are wrapping up a contest about classroom supplies that ends this Monday. I see that your blog helps various teachers raise funds for their classrooms and I was wondering if you would be interested in sharing about our contest with your teachers. We are looking for classrooms that have a genuine need for additional supplies. The reality is that the average teacher spends $485 out of pocket for classroom supplies each year. The #ClassroomProject gives a voice to educators who are spending money out of pocket. This is an exciting contest for K-12 teacher bloggers to win one of 30 prizes that total more than $3,000 to purchase classroom supplies You can click here for more information: http://rossieronline.usc.edu/the-classroom-project-classroom-supplies-for-teachers-contest/ or feel free to reach out to me directly at erika.phyall@usc.edu. Thank you so much for your time and I hope you join The Classroom Project!
